International Eventing trainer, David Acord and wife Jennifer, work together to create a truly enjoyable "family" experience. David gives a refreshing coaching style backed by years of teaching and competition experience. David's expansive competitive accolades include Junior Olympic Silver Medalist in 2001, Olympic and Pan American Long Listed Rider in 2003, 8th in the Nation for riders under 25 in 2005.
Among his extensive competition experience, David's legacy inspires students to take their riding to new heights. David has been professionally teaching and training since 1999 and trained multiple horses to the Advanced level in Three-Day Eventing. He is certified at the second level of the United States Eventing Association's Instructor Certification Program.
Known for his personal, positive, and inspiring teaching style, David meets each rider at their needs whether it's improving their basic skills or helping them prepare for a National championship. David has coached numerous students to the upper levels of Eventing, in addition to helping riders achieve their goals in the Dressage and Jumper world. People often comment that David loves people & teaching, and it shows.
After spending over a decade working in the corporate world doing Marketing for billion-dollar businesses, Maaike decided to leave her career behind in pursuit of doing what she loves most in the world - working with horses, inspiring riders, and spreading her love and passion for everything equestrian with others. Maaike's passion began at an early age and has never stopped. She has spent her life training and competing in various disciplines including Three-Day Eventing, Hunters, Jumpers, and Dressage. Maaike has spent years working for and shadowing top trainers in the disciplines. More recently, she began retraining ex-racehorses for their second careers with a unique blend of classical training and horsemanship.
Maaike is known for her technical and positive teaching style and helps riders of all levels to understand, target and achieve their short and long term goals. She has a unique way of communicating to riders and breaks down complex topics into simple and easy to understand instructions.
